Video/Pics: School shooting suspect identified as 15-year-old girl

Police officials have identified 15-year-old Natalie Lynn Rupnow as the suspect responsible for Monday’s fatal shooting incident at the Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin.

During a Monday press conference, Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes confirmed Rupnow, who went by the name “Samantha” and was a female student at Abundant Life Christian School, was identified as the school shooter. “She was a student at the school, and evidence suggests she died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound,” Barnes said.

Barnes noted that Rupnow was pronounced dead while being transported to a local hospital. The Madison Police chief also confirmed that a teacher and a teenage student were pronounced dead at the scene of the school shooting and that six others were injured in Monday’s shooting, including a teacher and five other students.

“Two students remain in critical condition and have life-threatening injuries,” Barnes said. “A teacher and three students were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Two of these have been released and discharged from the hospital. The other two survivors are considered to be in stable condition.”

According to Barnes, police officials believe that Rupnow was the only shooter involved in the incident. He added that police officials are “still working to determine a motive.”

According to The Post Millennial, Rupnow opened fire during a study hall in the Christian school’s library. Police officials revealed that a second-grade student called 911 and alerted police officers regarding the shooting.

Newsweek reported that following Monday’s school shooting, a manifesto allegedly written by Rupnow has circulated across social media. According to the outlet, Barnes confirmed that law enforcement officials were aware of the alleged manifesto but have not yet determined if it is authentic.

“We haven’t been able to verify that it’s authentic,” Barnes said. “We’re certainly aware that it’s been posted and the person who posted it alleged to have a connection with the victim.”

Reduxx’s Anna Slatz tweeted that she had obtained a copy of the shooter’s alleged 6-page manifesto titled “War Against Humanity” and shared two pages of the document on X, formerly Twitter, alongside photos of the suspect. Slatz claimed that she had received the alleged manifesto from the 15-year-old’s boyfriend.

The pages of the document allegedly written by Rupnow state, “Humanity is filth and I don’t like filth nor want to live in it nor should anyone else and I know it follows me and how it has followed me and will follow everyone because of how the world is runned.”

The document allegedly attributed to Rupnow describes the shooter’s parents as “scum” and adds that there “is nothing that will save them to make me think good of them Ever again.”
