A new report claims the Department of Homeland Security has notified law enforcement of a man who has allegedly made a bomb threat against supporters of former President Donald Trump.
According to an Officer Safety Bulletin obtained by Louder with Crowder, the Tennessee Office of Homeland Security has warned law enforcement to be aware of a 30-year-old man named Benjamin Matthew Dayton, who allegedly has threatened violence against Trump supporters.
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Steven Crowder, a conservative commentator, shared a copy of the Officer Safety Bulletin that was distributed by the Tennessee Office of Homeland Security. The Officer Safety Bulletin included a picture of Dayton, as well as a picture of his vehicle.
According to the Officer Safety Bulletin, the warning was issued in light of a Guardian Incident Report from the Memphis Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on February 29. The report included an alleged threat that Dayton shared in a text sent to his mother. “Have been thinking an awful lot about rigging my van and bombing Trump supporters,” Dayton allegedly wrote in one of his texts.
Homeland Security’s bulletin noted that Dayton “suffers from unspecified mental health diagnoses,” has a criminal history of “public drunkenness and domestic battery incidents,” and has “experienced suicidal and homicidal ideations and also mentioned trying to obtain a firearm.” The bulletin also explained that Dayton has an Order of Protection against him in Waukegan, Illinois.

The Tennessee Office of Homeland Security said Dayton’s tan 1995 Chevrolet G20 passenger van was seen in Shelby County on February 28. Homeland Security added that while Dayton has “several addresses associated with him in the Memphis/Shelby County area,” the 30-year-old is believed to be “transient” with “no known address.”
“Law enforcement personnel should exercise caution if contact is made with Dayton and/or his vehicle,” the Tennessee Office of Homeland Security warned. “No detention of the above subject or vehicle should be made solely based on this bulletin. This information is provided to increase situational awareness and advise law enforcement agencies of the potential officer safety concerns related to the subject of this bulletin.”
In an update on social media on Wednesday, Crowder claimed that Dayton’s Instagram account features a video that shows pages from an “IMPROVISED MUNITIONS HANDBOOK” issued by the U.S. Army. The bomb threat suspect’s social media account also includes references to Palestine and Gaza.
