China sends hilarious angry letter to fmr. Sec. State Pompeo for talking about China

Last week, the Communist Party of China (CPC) accused former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo of making “groundless accusations” in a video series that is critical of the CPC. Pompeo rejected the CPC’s claims and vowed not to be silenced by the Chinese communists.

In a letter to the Washington, D.C.-based think tank The Hudson Institute, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China attacked Pompeo for speaking out against the Communist Party of China in series of videos.

Pompeo tweeted the letter, writing, “The CCP wants me to stop speaking the truth. Ain’t gonna happen.” Pompeo’s tweet ended with an emoji depicting a man throwing garbage away.

The two videos attacked by the Chinese communists are entitled, “The CCP Lies About Race In America” and “The Chinese Communist Party Does Not Represent the Chinese People.”

In the letter, the Chinese embassy asserted that “the CPC is founded for the people and nurtured by the people.” It claimed the communist party “freed” the Chinese people from “bullying, oppression and subjugation.”

“Anyone who claim to respect the Chinese people should respet the history and facts, respect the development path, and political system chosen by the Chinese people, and respect the CPC who stands for the fundamental interests of the Chinese people,” the letter stated. “Any attempts to cut off the blood ties between the CPC and the Chinese people are doomed to fail.”

Echoing Pompeo’s response, the Hudson Institute’s president, John Walters, also rejected the letter, tweeting, “The genocidal #CPP is the oppressor of the Chinese people & an enemy of free people around the globe. The Chinese people know this & the American people know it. As a wise man once said, ‘facts are stubborn things.’  No one at Hudson is intimidated by this.”

While the Chinese embassy claims the Chinese communists “freed” the Chinese people from oppression, the CPC is accused of committing egregious human rights violations amounting in genocide against its ethnic Uyghurs and other Turkic Muslims in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (XUAR).

Last year, witnesses and experts provided grim testimony about torture, rape, and other human rights violations being perpetrated by the Communist Party of China in the Xinjiang region. Uyghur exiles have described forced abortions, arbitrary arrests, and forced labor in Xinjiang, and China has maintained a network of detention camps holding at least 1.8 million Uyghurs and other Muslim minorities since 2017.
