Videos: Plane crashes into UPS truck, homes in CA; multiple victims reported

A small twin-engine plane crashed into several homes in the city of Santee, California near San Diego on Monday, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department announced.

CBS8 reporter Marcella Lee tweeted, “BREAKING NEWS: A small plane crashed in Santee near Santana HS; Kids are safe. Initial reports indicate the plane hit a UPS truck, killing the driver; two homes are on fire; reports of human remains found in a backyard.”

Insider Paper tweeted, “BREAKING: A plane has crashed near Santana High School in Santee, California, damaging multiple homes.”

The crash occurred near the 9900 block of N. Magnolia Avenue, a short distance away from Santana High School.

Santee Fire Chief John Garlow told ABC News the resulting fire from the crash fully engulfing at least one home in flames and at least two burn victims are believed to be from the home.
